Stockholm Marathon

The Stockholm Marathon draws tens of thousands of runners through the heart of the city, and I wanted to capture what the race actually takes and what it gives back. Moving by bike and on foot from start to finish, I shot from every angle I could reach, staying as close to the action as possible. The focus was never on the elite, it was on the everyday runner, every age, every stage of the climb. The crowd pulling for a loved one, the reward that follows you at the finish line. The strain, the struggle, the unfiltered effort and emotion, there's more inspiration in that imperfection than in any perfect frame, and I wanted whoever looks at these images to feel like they were there and to see themselves in it.
